Information We Collect and How We Use It

RotaryX collects and processes only the information necessary to provide rotation scheduling and notification functionality within Slack.

  • Slack workspace ID and workspace name
    Used to identify the Slack workspace where RotaryX is installed and associate workspace settings and rotations with the correct workspace.
  • Slack OAuth access token
    Used to authenticate with Slack APIs and perform actions authorized by the workspace administrator, such as posting rotation notifications and sending reminders.
  • Rotation configurations
    Includes rotation names, schedules, settings, channel IDs, and participant order. Used to create, manage, and execute rotations and deliver scheduled notifications.
  • Slack user IDs
    Used to identify rotation participants, determine assignment order, and send notifications to the appropriate users.
  • Subscription information
    Includes Stripe customer IDs, subscription IDs, and subscription status. Used to manage billing and subscription access. Payment card information is processed directly by Stripe and is never stored by RotaryX.

  • Slack message content
  • Direct message content
  • Uploaded files
  • User email addresses
  • Advertising identifiers
  • Analytics, tracking, or behavioral profiling data

Data Sharing

RotaryX does not sell, rent, or share customer data with third parties for advertising, marketing, profiling, or AI model training purposes. Data is shared only with service providers necessary to operate the service or process payments, or when required by law.

Data storage

All data is stored in Cloudflare's infrastructure (D1 database) with encryption at rest. Data is distributed globally on Cloudflare's edge network.

Sub-processors

We use the following third-party services to operate RotaryX:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. (San Francisco, USA) - Infrastructure, compute, and database hosting
  • Stripe, Inc. (San Francisco, USA) - Payment processing. Stripe handles all payment information directly; we never see or store card details.

Data deletion

Uninstall RotaryX from your Slack workspace and all associated data is automatically deleted. You can also email us to request deletion.

Data retention

RotaryX retains workspace configuration data and Slack user IDs only while the app remains installed in your Slack workspace. When RotaryX is uninstalled, associated workspace data is automatically deleted within 30 days. Temporary operational logs and backups may be retained for a limited period for security, fraud prevention, and disaster recovery purposes before permanent deletion.
